The company moved into its own purpose-built building in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland in March 2001. Your Insurance Broker was first registered as a General Insurance Broker in 1992 and was granted a Financial Services Licence in 2004. Your Insurance Broker provides general insurance broking services and professional insurance advice to business clients and property owners across Queensland. Winston Johnston
Licensee & Managing Director
Winston has worked in the Insurance Industry since 1970 as both an underwriter and a broker and is the founder of Your Insurance Broker.
Steve Hind
Director, Senior Account Executive & Responsible Manager
Steve has been in the insurance industry since 1985. He worked for 13 years as an underwriter at Suncorp and he joined the Your Insurance Broker team in 1998.
Cathy Sinnott
Director, Office Manager & Responsible Manager
After working in the Accounting and Banking Industries, Cathy moved to the insurance industry in 1988 working for a Broker for just over six years. She then joined the Your Insurance Broker team in 1995. She has ‘found her niche’ working in a field that is interesting, challenging and constantly changing.
Ian Ferris
Director, Senior Account Executive & Responsible Manager - Caloundra Office
Ian has worked in the Insurance Industry since 1995 and joined the Your Insurance Broker team in 1998.
Lloyd Poole
Loss Control Surveyor & Technical Advisor
Lloyd has worked in the Insurance Industry since 1990. He spent 13 years with Suncorp as a Risk Surveyor and joined the YIB team in 2002.
Abbey Elgar
Account Executive
Abbey joined the YIB team in February 2014 with a varied broking background including a number of years in remote areas of Northern Territory. Abbey is dedicated to providing outstanding client service and is an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Executive. When not working, Abbey enjoys spending time with her two young children and her hobbies include drawing/painting and voluntary work.
Emily Radmall
Account Executive
Emily joined the YIB team in 2011 after completing a degree in Property Economics and Development at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Emily is Tier 1 accredited and has also completed her Diploma in Financial Services for Broking. Emily enjoys a challenge in the workplace and carries this into her personal life by participating in competitive sports.
Support Team
In addition to the Caloundra Management Team and Account Executives as listed above, we have a tremendous support team that includes our Account Executive Assistants, Processing Staff and the Directors of First Impressions. Our support team hold Financial Services qualifications relevant to their role and have many years experience in the insurance industry with diverse backgrounds and knowledge. They are dedicated to assisting you with your General Insurance needs, and providing support to our Account Executives.
